Passerby shot, killed motorist assaulting deputy !!

A driver attacked a Florida sheriff's deputy on Monday morning. The driver had been shot and killed by a bystander who repeatedly warned him to stop beating the officer.

The incident started around 9:30 AM when the Lee County deputy tried to stop the traffic on Interstate 75 in Estero. Instead of complying, the witnesses said that the driver took off, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.

The deputy chased the suspect immediately onto an exit ramp, where a witness said that the suspect got out of his car and assaulted the  pursuer.

Shanta Holditch told that the suspect had pulled the deputy out of his car and kept beating him throwing to the ground and punched him in different directions.

At that point another driver came out of his car and ran to the scene. He told the suspect that he would shoot him if he does not stop beating the deputy.

Holditch said , "[He] refused to get off the officer and the officer kept yelling, 'shoot him, shoot him, shoot him,'.

When the suspect didn't stop his actions, the third man shot him three times. The deputy had not  been hit. The suspect died later.  An  witness said, "I heard like three shots. He fell down on top of the police officer," .
