Apple is anticipated to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro models later this year, possibly along with a foldable phone that opens like a book. In addition to trying out a new design, the tech company from Cupertino may also explore different colour choices for its leading smartphones. The firm launched the iPhone SE (2022) in a red colour. It is being suggested that this colour might be brought back for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. A source has shared an image of a forthcoming device in this expected colour. A Weibo post by informant Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) mentions that the iPhone 18 Pro will be available in a rich red shade. This post included a leaked image showing the rumored device in that colour. The informant also claims to have seen early models of the iPhone 18 Pro in this deep red colour. Nonetheless, we will probably need to wait until September, when the phone is likely to be launched, to get our first official glimpse.
Earlier this month, another source suggested that the iPhone 18 Pro series will probably be offered in grey and silver shades, along with the dark red option. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has also indicated that Apple is experimenting with a deep red colour choice for both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. It is reported that Apple is evaluating two display possibilities for the iPhone 18 Pro; one will have the current design, while the other might feature a smaller “Mini Dynamic Island” made possible by relocating some Face ID parts beneath the screen. However, the company has not come to a final conclusion yet and is believed to be performing A/B testing between the two. If Apple decides to reuse the old mould, the Dynamic Island could remain quite similar. The phone is likely to keep the same rectangular camera arrangement seen in the previous model.
