The Indian American Democratic Congressmen called for the passage of America's Children Act and bipartisan legislation. The move will protect the documented aspirants who are depending on long-term non-immigrant visa holders from aging out when they turn 21. Ami Bera, Deborah Ross, Alex Padilla, Dick Durbin were among the supporting Democratic Congressmen. A group of documented dreamers joined the lawmakers and they shared their stories.

A group of 40 youth members of Improve The Dream from USA came to the United States Capitol. Improve The Dream was founded by Dip Patel that is fighting for the legal rights of the children who are growing up in the United States. 20 young Immigrants visited the White House last week to discuss the issue of aging out and the green card backlog. They met the Senators from various states.

Senator Padilla said that the broken immigration system has failed to meet the needs of the USA in the 21st century. He said that the millions of them deserve better. Dip Patel said that Improve the Dream was started for children in the USA to have a clear path to citizenship and pass the America's Children Act. More than 200,000 young adults and children are living in USA as dependants of the non-immigrant visa holders. They attended the American schools and universities.

But they are not eligible for protection under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or the work authorization. The Bill would permanently end aging out and will provide the pathway for permanent residency for these young aspirants.
