Analysis

Prasanna Vadanam Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast and Crew

Positives:

While enjoying a flourishing career, Suhas fearlessly tackles another captivating story and delivers an exceptional performance as a character struggling with Face Blindness. Actress Rashi Singh's daring choice to play a negative role is rewarded, highlighting her versatility beyond typical heroine roles. Payal Radhakrishna and Harsha Chemudu's performances are adequate, while Nitin Prasanna's role shines. Other supporting actors also make an impact with their acting. The film surprises with a twist at the interval and a few exciting moments in the second half.

Negatives:

Although Prasanna Vadanam has an interesting plot, it fails to keep the audience engaged due to its slow pace. The film could have been more effective if the screenplay had been more focused, especially in its second half. Rashi Singh's character development is lacking depth in some crucial scenes, which is disappointing. Additionally, the romantic subplot feels out of place and detracts from the serious tone the movie tries to convey. The flashback sequences about the murder feel like they were copied from other Telugu films.

Performance

Suhas does a stupendous task throughout the film. He has done complete justice for the role of Surya and he carries the entire film on his shoulders. There is no other prominent actor in Prasanna Vadanam. Arjun YK, the new director, has potential, but needs to work on the screenplay's pace to improve. The music by Vijay Bulganin enhances important scenes, and the cinematography by S Chandrasekaran and editing by Karthika Srinivas are satisfactory. The production quality is decent, but a shorter runtime would have made it more enjoyable.

Final Word

Prasanna Vadanam is an ok thriller with interesting episodes and the others are quite dull.
