Australia sealed their spot in the final against India after a dominating display at the Eden Gardens. David Warner (29) and Travis Head (62) got the five-time champions off to a great start with a 60-run partnership. Despite some wickets being taken, Steven Smith (30) and Josh Inglis managed to get Australia to the required total. Marnus Labuschagne also contributed 18 runs, and South Africa's bowlers were unable to make an impact.

The Australian cricket team achieved their record-breaking eighth ODI World Cup final after their victory against South Africa at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Aussies will now face the hosts India in the upcoming final, which will be the two teams' second meeting in an International Cricket Council (ICC) championship, previously having competed against each other in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. Travis Head was the standout player of the match for Australia, with his contribution with both the bat and the ball helping to secure the side's place in the deciding match on Sunday.

Australia's bowlers put on a stunning performance against South Africa, limiting the Proteas to 212 in 49.4 overs. David Miller provided the only highlight for South Africa with his 101 runs. Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc were the stars for Australia, taking eight wickets amongst them. Starc completed his 10 overs with 34/3 while Cummins ended with 51/3. Travis Head also contributed two wickets in his five overs.

Australia will face India in the last game of the ODI World Cup at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. This match will decide which country will be crowned the next champions, as both sides are aiming for a victory in the title showdown.
