At least three people got hurt after a squirrel attacked several people in a senior center activity room in the US state of Florida.

A staff member of the Sterling Court retirement home in Deltona, Florida, called 911 to report the incident. The victims needed immediate medical assistance.

There are two Sterling Court residents and a staff member, who injured in the attack.

According to a audio from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, a woman said that, "We had a squirrel that entered our building and it's in our activity room and it's jumping on people and biting them and scratching them." "So we need help."

The Sterling Court is being managed by the Holiday Retirement. Brian Fawkes, a spokesman for the company, said that, the squirrel was captured by a resident and later threw it out of the door.
